The valve can be used in all heating and cooling systems where air must be vented to prevent damage to the distribution network. It automatically releases air from the pipes as soon as the overpressure in the system increases, and conversely prevents the formation of flooring by allowing air in the event of water being drained from the system. In cooling systems, it is able to work with glycol-based antifreeze mixtures with a maximum concentration of 50% and a minimum medium temperature of -30 ° C.

The quality materials from which the valve is made ensure a long service life. The valve body is made of brass, the seal is made of EPDM and the inner spring of the closure is made of stainless steel. The valve is complemented by a non-return valve , which ensures that the entire system does not have to be drained during disassembly.

Function

There is a float in the space of the valve body. If the entire water is flooded with plain water, the float is in the raised position and the valve remains closed, so there is no draining. If the level drops and air enters the valve space, the float will drop and the valve will open to release excess air. The water level then returns to the original level and the valve closes again.

There is a cap on the valve that can be used to close the entire valve, but remains permitted during normal operation.
