It automatically releases air from the pipes as soon as the overpressure in the system increases, and conversely prevents the formation of flooring by allowing air in the event of water being drained from the system. In cooling systems, it is able to work with glycol-based antifreeze mixtures with a maximum concentration of 50% and a minimum medium temperature of -30 ° C.
Quality materials guarantee high reliability and performance . It is made to withstand both the increased load when filling the network with water and thus the high initial air vent, as well as the unstable, intermittent air vent during normal operation.
There is a float in the space of the valve body. If the entire water is flooded with plain water, the float is in the raised position and the valve remains closed, so there is no draining. If the level drops and air enters the valve space, the float will drop and the valve will open to release excess air. The water level then returns to the original level and the valve closes again.
There is a cap on the valve that can be used to close the entire valve, but remains permitted during normal operation.
The R99 valve can be supplemented with the R160 non-return valve, which, if the R99 valve is dismantled, ensures that the entire system does not have to be drained. For heating systems, we recommend treating the water with R831, which reduces the possibility of incrustations in the pipes.
