The sludge separator with a filter and magnet effectively removes all impurities and rust particles from the flowing thermal medium. It is primarily used in heating and air conditioning systems. Cleaning is quick and easy and can be performed even during operation thanks to the integrated ball valve. The sludge separator features a large settling chamber, which means cleaning is not required too often. Transparent windows into the chamber also allow you to check the level of contamination and clean the sludge separator only when absolutely necessary.

The compact dimensions of the sludge separator ensure that it fits all types of boilers. It does not need to be installed only in new systems but is also suitable for existing ones. The appearance of the sludge separator is neutral and easily blends into the interior without being intrusive.

Function

The sludge separator consists of a filter with a mesh density of 800 μm, a magnet, a large capture chamber, a ball valve, and connecting fittings. Water with impurities flows into the capture chamber and is driven through the inclined mesh. The magnet, placed directly against the flow direction, captures magnetic particles, while the mesh filters out the remaining impurities. The magnet is located behind the chamber wall, preventing contamination and facilitating cleaning.

Cleaning

Transparent windows lead into the capture chamber, allowing for an easy visual inspection of the sludge separator's contamination level. Cleaning can thus be performed only when truly necessary.

The cleaning itself is very easy. By turning the ball shut-off valve, the water flow is diverted from the chamber directly into the pipe. The entire chamber can then be disassembled, and only the water remaining in the chamber can be drained. All components can then be easily rinsed and cleaned under running water.

Installation

The sludge separator is installed directly under the boiler. It should always be installed in a horizontal position. Both solid pipes directly from the boiler and flexible couplings can be connected to the upper connecting nut.
