The check valve ensures fluid flow in one direction and prevents its flow in the opposite direction. It protects systems against back pressure, backflow, and back siphoning.

During the passage of fluid through the valve, the flow pushes the closing disc against the retaining spring inside the valve, allowing free flow. If the flow direction were to change, the closing disc would sit on the sealing seat and prevent further flow. At zero flow, the valve is closed due to the action of the retaining spring.
