The Evikon E2632-CO-LEL is a detector designed for monitoring methane (CH₄) concentration and carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in the air. The device uses a semiconductor and electrochemical sensor, providing accurate measurements within the range of the lower explosive limit (LEL) and CO concentration in ppm units. With its robust construction and reliable performance, it is suitable for industrial and commercial applications where monitoring safety limits is necessary.

The device is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with an IP65 protection rating, ensuring its resistance to dust and water. Additionally, it features visual and acoustic alarms for early warning of increased methane/natural gas and toxic carbon monoxide concentrations. The E2632-CO-LEL is equipped with two SPDT relay outputs for each gas, allowing easy integration with ventilation and alarm systems.

Common Applications:

The E2632-CO-LEL detector is intended for monitoring methane in industrial and commercial environments such as boiler rooms, engine rooms, gas storage facilities, CNG filling stations, or other areas where flammable gases are handled. The device is designed for use according to EN 50 292. It serves to detect dangerous concentrations of methane/natural gas and carbon monoxide early, helping to ensure equipment safety and minimize the risk of fires, explosions, or poisoning.

Natural Gas:

Natural gas is a mixture of gases, with methane (CH₄) as the main component, usually making up 85–95% of the volume. Methane is colorless and odorless, so odorizing substances are added to natural gas to allow easy detection of leaks. With its high energy content, methane is a key energy source used in industry, households, and transportation.

Carbon Monoxide CO:

Carbon monoxide (CO) is colorless and odorless, making it particularly dangerous as its presence cannot be easily detected without a detector. It is produced during the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels, such as in boilers, cars, or during burning in enclosed spaces. Even low concentrations of carbon monoxide can cause health problems like headaches, dizziness, or poisoning, and higher levels can be fatal.

Calibration Protocol

Calibration Protocol

Each package of Evikon gas detectors includes a factory calibration protocol. The calibration protocol is in English. Gas concentration measurements are influenced by operating temperature and humidity, so calibration during the detector's manufacture is performed with higher safety in mind.
