An automatic heating cable with a thermostat suitable for protecting pipes and pumps from freezing. The cable is fixed directly onto metal pipes, while plastic pipes must first be wrapped with metal self-adhesive aluminium tape. The self-adhesive aluminium foil helps transfer heat from the cable's sheath to the protected pipe. Heating cables with an integrated thermostat and plug are specifically manufactured for pipe protection. The contact thermostat automatically switches on the heating cable when the pipe temperature drops below 3°C. Thanks to the plug and integrated thermostat, installation is very easy and does not require any professional electrical connection.
