The Grundfos PM 2 pressure manager is suitable for for automatic start/stop control of Grundfos pumps and other water supply pumps. The unit is therefore suitable for applications where it is required to switch on the pump depending on the actual water demand.

Functions

The pump is switched on at a pressure of 1.5...5 bar. The PM 2 unit switches on the pump when the switching pressure is reached and the pump remains in operation until a small flow is reached.

The setting pressure is set by the DIP switches located behind the control panel. Current pressure is displayed on the LED scale.

The PM 2 can be optimised for operation with an external pressure tank by enabling the 1 bar differential-pressure function. This function significantly reduces the number of operating hours of the pump in installations with pressure tank.
