Download PDFGrundfos UP 20-15N is a wet-running circulator pump with a stainless steel body, designed for water circulation in heating systems and domestic hot water systems. The pump and motor form a single unit without a shaft seal, and the bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. Three fixed speed settings are available.
The pump is used in hot-water heating systems in family houses, flats and smaller commercial premises, where it ensures the circulation of heating water between the boiler and the heating system. The stainless steel body and corrosion-resistant materials also allow use in domestic hot water systems, where the pump comes into contact with potable water. It is installed directly into the pipework using a G 1 1/4 threaded connection.
The motor rotor is washed by the pumped liquid, eliminating the need for a shaft seal and bearing lubrication – the bearings are plain, with a ceramic radial bearing and a carbon axial bearing. The motor does not require external motor protection, as it is impedance protected. The pump body is made of stainless steel (DIN 1.4301, AISI 304), and the impeller is made of corrosion-resistant PES/PP composite.
