SQ submersible pumps

SQ pumps are designed for pumping thin, clean, non-aggressive and non-explosive liquids that do not contain mechanical or fibrous impurities. Grundfos SQ series pumps are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, which is suitable for contact of the pump with drinking water.

The pump includes a 1.5 m long cable.

The SQ pump is ideal for providing water supply in the private sector, especially in single-family houses and cottages that are not connected to the public water supply.

Dry-running protection

The pumps are protected against dry running. In the event of insufficient water in the well, the pump automatically shuts off to prevent it from overheating and damaging the motor windings. However, this function is only emergency. In case of low borehole yield, the pump must be supplemented with external level monitoring.

High pump and motor efficiency

The electro-hydraulic design ensures high efficiency of this pump, which is reflected in low electricity consumption and therefore low operating costs. The motors are designed in accordance with the principle of a permanent magnet (PM motor). This is the most modern type of synchronous electric motor, which is characterized by high efficiency and reliability in a wide power range. The same type of motor is used, for example, in electric cars. Reliability and efficiency are also helped by auxiliary elements such as:

• Bearings made of tungsten carbide or technical ceramics
• Thrust bearings as protection against rising axial pressure
• Service life comparable to conventional engines
