Danfoss Icon™ is an advanced control solution for your underfloor heating. Maximum comfort and as well as simple solution. This system is suitable for smaller households as well as for larger houses or apartments. The system consists only of the Danfoss Icon™ Master Controller and individual room thermostats.
With conventional thermostats, you can only set your desired temperature. While some slightly more sophisticated thermostats allow you to set a daily or weekly program and the thermostat will turn on and off the heating accordingly, smart thermostats communicate with your phone or recognize that you are on your way home and start heating up. However, all this only according to one reference room. Danfoss Icon™ goes one step further and combines a smart thermostat with zone control. Each room in the house or apartment has different heat losses. Some rooms may be colder and others may be overheated. This is exactly what zone control solves. You can zone the individual rooms as required. Then you just set the right temperature in each zone on the thermostat and the zone controller will take care of everything else.
The individual zone controls are often solved only by heating radiators, where you fit each radiator with a thermostat, which then closes and opens according to the heat demand. Modern approach to heating relies more and more on underfloor or ceiling heating. Radiators in the room occupy too much space. Underfloor heating saves space and evenly distributes the heat throughout the room. Correct and smart control that you won't even hear is guaranteed by the Danfoss Icon™ system.
Smart zone heating control systems are very often complex and confusing. The question is always whether the system will work in my house or whether I have bought all the components. The Danfoss Icon control system includes all the necessary components. Installation is simple and convenient. Simply put, you will need a master controller, thermostats, actuators for control valves and expansion modules according to the level of comfort you are looking for.
Danfoss Icon ™ room thermostats have been designed precisely to fit in any interior. The thermostat does not protrude anywhere due to the fact that it fits into the frame of a normal switch. After a certain period of inactivity, the display backlight turns off and the thermostat is almost invisible. When touched, it lights up again and shows the current room temperature. The Danfoss Icon™ room thermostat fits in an electrical box. The On-wall version is ideal if the thermostat does not fit in your electrical box or there is none in the wall at all. Only with a depth of 25 mm and a frame of 86 x 86 mm, the on-wall thermostat is no more distinctive than a standard switch or socket.

The wired 24V / wireless version of the Master controller provides several advanced features that can be expanded even further with expansion modules. For example, you can choose from 10 pre-defined settings for common applications. These settings cover the behavior of all inputs and outputs from the controller.
The Danfoss Icon™ controller has automatic balancing, pump switching, boiler switching, test function and PWM control. Last but not least, the controller can learn on its own. This means that it knows how fast your system heats up and, if necessary, switches on the heating sooner or later to guarantee you the perfect comfort temperature in each zone. The controller works with 24V voltage. You can choose from two variants with 10 or 15 outputs for actuators. The actuators are wired to the controller. Actuators are then installed on each underfloor heating circuit. Thermostats can be connected in two ways. The first method is wired, where the controller is connected to the thermostat using a cable. The second method is wireless. For this method, it is necessary to purchase wireless versions of thermostats and at the same time an expansion module of the controller for wireless communication.
