SOVIK Boiler Room Monitor is a modern fault signalling system designed for continuous monitoring and signalling of operating, fault and emergency conditions in gas boiler rooms. The system is designed in accordance with the requirements of ČSN EN 12828+A1 and the technical rules TPG 908 02 (formerly ČSN 07 0703) for boiler rooms with heat sources above 50 kW, or from 100 kW respectively. The set includes a control unit with an HMI display, a room temperature sensor, a strap-on temperature sensor, a pressure sensor and a flood sensor. Thanks to the Plug & Play mode, the system is factory pre-configured and ready for immediate commissioning without the need for programming. The boiler room status can be monitored directly on the control unit display or conveniently via the SOVIK mobile app, which is available for both Android and iOS. The boiler room is the heart of every building – it provides heating and domestic hot water preparation. At the same time, it contains combustible fuel, high temperatures and pressure. If a boiler fault, gas leak, pressure drop in the system or flooding occurs, the problem may remain undetected for a long time. Fault signalling acts as a continuous watchdog that detects these situations and immediately alerts the operator – whether they are on site or away. This shortens response times, limits consequential damage and ensures the operator always has a clear overview of what is actually happening in the boiler room.


The obligation to install fault signalling is based on several standards and technical rules. ČSN EN 12828+A1 sets out requirements for hot-water heating systems with heat sources above 50 kW (or above 100 kW respectively). The technical rules TPG 908 02 (formerly ČSN 07 0703) then specifically define the requirements for boiler rooms with gas-fired equipment – including the need for a detection system with visual and audible signalling to the operator location, monitoring of gas leaks, carbon monoxide and other safety parameters. For Category I and II boiler rooms, a detection system with automatic gas shut-off is also required. By law, the boiler room operator is responsible for ensuring that their installation complies with these requirements.
