How to Connect a Thermostat

The delivery content along with the room thermostat includes an operation and installation manual. Installation manuals today are primarily pictorial, and users with basic technical skills can manage it themselves in a few steps. If you are unsure, entrust the installation and connection to an electrician or a professional company.

First, according to the manual, choose the correct location and height for installation, if the cables for switching the heating allow it. The thermostat has two parts: the cover with the display and electronics is the first, and the second is the base plate with the terminal block. Before installation, ensure that the electrical power is turned off for the wires you will come into contact with, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Carefully separate the base plate from the cover with a screwdriver and secure it to the wall. Under the cover, you will find a terminal block into which, according to the connection manual, you connect the switched wires of the heating or other devices intended to be switched by the thermostat. Fix them and snap the cover into place. Only then connect the power supply and insert the batteries into the thermostat. Now wait for the initial initialization, which takes 1 to 15 minutes depending on the type of thermostat. Once you see the basic display on the screen according to the manual, you can set and use the thermostat.
