Controlling heating via a mobile phone is currently becoming a common practice. It offers not only comfort but also saves on heating costs.
First and foremost, it is necessary to consider how we want to control the heating. If we plan to manage heating in a larger ground floor or multi-storey house, we recommend the multi-zone control system Evohome from Honeywell. The Honeywell Evohome system allows you to set different temperatures in various rooms (zones) at the same time. This prevents energy losses, as heating is not used in rooms that are not currently in use. With Honeywell Evohome, you can set up to twelve independent heating zones, each with its own time schedule.
One of the main advantages of the Honeywell Evohome system is undoubtedly that its components communicate wirelessly. Therefore, there is no need to cut into the walls during installation, saving both money and time. The usual communication range in building conditions is around 30 meters, which is a sufficient distance even for a family house. The range of Honeywell Evohome can be verified with a simple test. Try installing a Wi-Fi modem to the boiler unit, then check in the upper floor or the furthest room if the signal is strong enough - for example, by loading a page on your mobile.
If the Wi-Fi reaches, everything should work. The radio signal for controlling the valves is typically "somewhat" stronger than the mentioned Wi-Fi.
The Honeywell Evohome system continuously compares the measured temperature in each room with the desired temperature – set by the time schedule or local adjustment on the smart Wi-Fi valve. Based on the current temperatures detected, the system's actuators respond to ensure the measured temperatures reach the desired levels. You can control the Evohome system via the Evohome Touch Wi-Fi control unit or through an app on your smart mobile phone, which is available for free and in the Czech language.
The EvoHome control system with a high-quality colour touch display allows complete setting of individual zones and remote access to the system via smartphones with Android and iOS systems. There is no need to purchase an additional internet gateway, as the Wi-Fi adapter is already integrated.
The control unit is available in white and communicates entirely in Czech. It is available with a stand or for wall mounting. Additional coloured frames can also be purchased.

Wireless regulators for the heating body HR92EE communicate at a frequency of 868 MHz. It is a similar frequency to that used by your home Wi-Fi network. Therefore, the range of the Honeywell Evohome system can be estimated based on your Wi-Fi signal strength. The valve has a large backlit display with an adjustable position for good readability. The display lights up as soon as you press a button or turn the wheel. The temperature can be manually changed at any time.
The system also recognizes when a window is open in the room and automatically closes the heating valve. Therefore, it is not a problem to install a reference valve by the window. The installation of the valve is very simple and does not require draining water from the heating system. The valve has an M30 x 1.5 thread and an adapter for 28 x 1.5.
More about the wireless thermostatic valve HR92EE can be found here.
The wireless relay unit allows you to control your boiler. If the Evotouch system sends a request to activate the heat source, the signal is wirelessly transmitted to the relay unit, which activates the heat source. The BDR91 unit has a switching relay and can be connected to most boilers. You can consult compatibility with your boiler with us.

If you have underfloor heating, it is worth purchasing the PTS-4 / PTS-8 set, which is cost-effective and contains everything you will need for control via phone.
The underfloor set additionally includes:
The actuator is designed for two-position open/close control in room heating and cooling systems.
Zone regulator for 5 zones, without antenna, wireless communication with the EvoTouch control unit. You can purchase the HCS80 Expansion Module, which increases the number of zones to 8.
External antenna for zone regulator HCE80.
The wireless digital room controller is designed for communication with the Evohome system. Using the large rotary wheel, you can easily set the desired temperature. Additionally, it is equipped with a backlit display. The device is powered by two AA batteries with a lifespan of up to 2 years, and a low battery indicator will alert you to their low charge.
