Smart Heating for Loxone

Have you ever thought that controlling underfloor heating loops can be done differently than through standard thermoelectric actuators? A possible alternative is in the form of a ball valve and a servo drive. The advantage is significantly more precise regulation, faster servo response, and at the same time longer lifespan compared to classic thermoelectric actuators. This solution is more economical because it prevents overheating of individual rooms due to the slower system response or leaks in thermoelectric actuators, which occur over time. The differences between the solutions can be seen in the video from the Belimo test center:

Belimo produces its own range of underfloor heating distributors EM-ECQ-xxF, which use ball valves instead of classic valves. The ball valves then only need to be fitted with servo drives CQ24A-MPL. If you already have an underfloor heating distributor, leave the distributor valves fully open and screw the ball valves C415Q-J or C215Q-J (depending on the selected type of distributor) onto the 3/4" thread from the other side and then fit them with servo drives CQ24A-MPL.
