Thermostatic Heads with Temperature Setting Lock

Radiator heating is a universal heating solution suitable for both households and small and large commercial spaces. However, in some cases, their simple operation and easy setting can be a disadvantage. In households, offices, public spaces, and other situations, it can be challenging to ensure that the temperature on the thermostatic head is set to the desired level, especially nowadays when public buildings must not be heated above 18°C due to savings, and violating government regulations can result in financial penalties. However, there are several types of heads available that can easily prevent unwanted manipulation with radiator settings.

Radiator Heads with Mechanical Locking

The simplest way to prevent the temperature of radiators from being reset is to purchase heads with mechanical locking to prevent rotation. Thermostatic heads can be secured with stops (pins) to limit the temperature setting range. For heads like IMI Heimeier K and Siemens RTN, the stops are included in the package, while for other types, such as Honeywell Thera-6 (limiting stop for Honeywell) and Danfoss RA 2944 (limiting pin Danfoss), the stops are optional accessories and need to be purchased separately. This is a simple and effective solution for households, especially children's rooms. For public spaces, types of heads with stops that have protection against changing the position of the stops and reinforced construction can be used.

A more suitable option for commercial buildings are heads with temperature setting using a special key. The thermostatic head for public spaces IMI Heimeier HALO-B is operated only with a universal key IMI Heimeier, allowing the head cover to be rotated freely without resetting the temperature. The head is made from durable material for exceptional resistance even in demanding conditions and features anti-theft protection.

Electronic Radiator Heads

Another way to ensure that the radiator temperature is not changed undesirably is through "semi-smart" heating systems, such as the Danfoss Eco electronic thermostatic head. You can connect the head via Bluetooth to an app on your smartphone, from where you can easily set the radiator temperature. The electronic thermostatic head is programmable and also allows for manual control, which can be disabled thanks to a child lock. Additionally, the head has integrated sensors that can very accurately regulate room temperature, an adaptive regulation function to achieve the correct temperature at the desired time, and a window open detection function.

A slightly simpler solution without remote heating control via the internet is the Honeywell TheraPro HR90EE electronic thermostatic head, which independently regulates radiators according to heating programs. You can freely customize the time programs to your needs, and the head allows programming of special days, such as holidays, days off, etc. The head is easy to operate and install, and it offers optional energy-saving functions. Honeywell TheraPro is made from durable material, features anti-theft protection for the head and battery, and a child lock to prevent temperature resetting

Smart Heating Heads

The most modern way to solve radiator heating is smart heating, which is suitable for households, offices, hospitals, public administration buildings, and other commercial spaces. Smart heating heads allow for remote heating control via mobile or tablet, allowing you to change the temperature from anywhere. The temperature setting can also be adjusted manually, but this option can be easily disabled with a child lock. Smart heating systems also operate on the principle of zonal regulation, allowing you to group individual radiator heads into larger units, where you set the time and desired room temperature, and the smart heating takes care of the rest for you. Smart thermostatic heads also feature anti-theft protection, and for greater durability, protective covers can be used.
