The RV280 check valve prevents backflow of water in the system. It is applicable in commercial and industrial sectors and wherever backflow, back pressure, or back siphonage should be prevented. A suitable placement is immediately after the water meter. Additionally, the valve can be used in central heating systems, as a safety device for liquids, behind pumping equipment, or before water heating devices.

It can be installed in any position and its use is very versatile. It meets the KTW certification for contact with drinking water. It guarantees low pressure loss. It can be used in systems with water, oil, compressed air, kerosene, gasoline, and heating oil. However, it is not suitable for steam, heavy oils, and benzene.

Function

The check valve contains a movable sealing disk. As the medium flows, it lifts the disk to allow passage through the valve. The lift value depends on the amount of flowing medium. If the flow of the medium drops to zero and stops, the disk blocks the passage through the valve, preventing backflow. This occurs due to the spring, which continuously presses the disk against the flowing medium. However, the pressure exerted by the spring is less than the pressure of the flowing medium, so the valve remains passable.

To ensure the proper function of the valve, it is recommended to check it regularly.
