Thera-3 thermostatic heads are installed on thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) bodies. In combination with a TRV, the thermostatic head regulates the room temperature by controlling the flow of heating water to the heating appliance. TRVs are installed in hydronic heating systems on the inlet or (less frequently) the outlet connection of radiators or other heating systems. The heads comply with European standard ČSN EN215.

Thermostatic heads of this type with an M30 × 1.5 connection thread are suitable for all TRV bodies and radiator inlets with an M30 × 1.5 connection thread and an 11.5 mm operating pin. Versions with a Danfoss connection are suitable for TRV bodies and valve inserts with a connection compatible with Danfoss (RA). Thermostatic heads with a Herz (Hz) connection are suitable for TRV bodies with an M28 × 1.5 connection and a 9.5 mm operating pin.
