In the event of flooding or liquid leakage due to damaged water or heating systems, level monitoring probes and flood sensors reliably serve their purpose. These devices are definitely worth the investment, as the purchase price is not high compared to the damage that a properly installed device can prevent and avert. Level probes are particularly useful in boiler rooms, heat exchange stations, warehouses, workshops, and operations where equipment or products are at risk of damage from leaking water or other liquids. The connection is not complicated, and the probes themselves take up virtually no space. Wall mounting is usually done using standard screws. Flood sensors are mounted on a DIN rail, and the aforementioned level monitoring probes serve as sensors. The electronic relay of the flood sensor is controlled by digitized voltage 1÷10V, and the input is galvanically isolated. These level sensors and probes should only be placed in chemically non-aggressive environments. Neglecting the installation or regular functionality checks of level sensors and probes could indeed prove costly!
