The pipe separator is suitable for use in both residential and industrial and commercial construction. Protects drinking water distribution systems against contamination caused by back pressure, back flow or back suction of service water into the drinking water network. This is most often used when combining water intake from the order and from the borehole.

Compact design with easy service and easy access to all internal components. The special technical design prevents "standing" of the water. The separator is characterized by low pressure drop and high flow at low noise level (class 2). It is certified for use in drinking water distribution and is in accordance with KTW recommendations. The brass body contains no traces of lead.

Construction

  • separator body
  • integrated sieve, mesh size approx. 200μm
  • valve inserts with built-in non-return valve and drain valve
  • outlet non-return valve
  • three ball valves for connecting a differential pressure measuring device
  • connecting fitting
  • outlet connection

How does a separator work?

Inside, the separator is divided into three pressure zones. In zone 1, the pressure is greater than the pressure in zone 2, which is again greater than the pressure in zone 3. If the pressure difference between zones 1 and 3 drops to 0.14 bar, then in zone 2 the drain valve opens and both return valves close. valves. Zone 2 is thus separated from zones 1 and 3 and the water from zone 2 is discharged into the pressureless waste.
