Pneumatic actuators are used for the mechanical opening and closing of various types of equipment. They are air-operated and utilize the differential pressure compared to atmospheric pressure. The energy thus obtained is converted, depending on the type of pneumatic actuator, into mechanical rotary (rotational) or linear movement.

Ball valve actuators are two-way ball valves operated by a pneumatic actuator, most commonly double-acting. They are used for the opening and closing of the flow of gaseous or liquid operating substances in open or closed systems of air and hot and cold water, such as hydraulic systems.
