RedBox – Variants and Compatibility with Actuators

RedBox is a safety terminal box designed for use between safe environments and explosive hazard environments (zones 2, 22). It serves to safely connect electrical systems and must be used in accordance with ATEX standards to minimize the risk of explosion initiation.

RedBox Variants and Compatible Actuators:

• RedBox-3P

  • Compatibility: Actuators RedMax... and RedMax...-F with open-close function and three-point control
  • Description: Basic version of the terminal box for simple actuator control

• RedBox-Y/S

  • Compatibility: Actuators RedMax...-Y with continuous control (0–10 V / 4–20 mA) or RedMax...-S with integrated auxiliary switches
  • Description: Extended variant for advanced actuator control

• RedBox-BF

  • Compatibility: Actuators RedMax...-BF with safety stop and temperature sensor
  • Description: Special version allowing quick safety shutdown of the system

• RedBox-3P/SW, RedBox-Y/S/SW, RedBox-BF/SW

  • Compatibility: These variants with switch RedSwitch
  • Description: Adapted for connecting an auxiliary switch, allowing additional control functions

• RedSwitch is an external auxiliary switch designed for use in explosive hazard environments. It contains two potential-free contacts that can be individually set to switch at desired actuator positions. This flexibility allows precise adjustment of switching points to specific application requirements. RedSwitch is compatible with RedMax series actuators of size S and M and is supplied with approximately 1 meter long cable for each switch.
