Actuator for control valves with a discontinuous output. The actuator consists of a two-part housing made of self-extinguishing plastic and a synchronous motor, which includes control and shutdown electronics, a maintenance-free gearbox, and a magnetic clutch. Electronic sensors monitor whether the actuator has reached the end position, and a timer allows the motor to be switched off after a set time. Installation with the valve is ensured by a plastic bracket and a brass union nut. The actuator can be installed in positions ranging from upright vertical to horizontal.

Features

  • two-point or three-point control (2/3P)
  • power supply 230 VAC
  • max. medium temperature 100 °C
  • ambient temperature -10...55 °C
  • ambient humidity 5...95% RH
  • protection class IP54
  • response time 200 ms
  • stroke 8 mm
  • actuating force 500 N
  • actuating time 120 s

Function

When the actuator is connected to the power supply, it acts on the valve through the connecting part (rod).

In two-point control:

  • When voltage is applied to the blue wire (MM/N) and the brown wire (01), the rod extends and opens the valve
  • When voltage is applied to the blue wire (MM/N) and the brown wire is disconnected from the voltage (01), the rod retracts and closes the valve

In two-point control, the black wire is always live.

In three-point control:

  • When voltage is applied to the blue wire (MM/N) and the brown wire (01), the rod extends and opens the valve
  • When voltage is applied to the blue wire (MM/N) and the black wire (02), the rod retracts and closes the valve

The direction of stroke change in three-point control occurs by swapping the wire connections.

Suitable for valve series:

  • VXN/BXN
  • VUD/BUD
  • VUE/BUE
