Download PDFActuator for 2-way and 3-way valves with continuous or discontinuous output. The drive contains a stepper motor, which is controlled by an electronic unit SUT (Sauter Universal technology) and has a maintenance-free transmission and electronic force-dependent switching. Automatically recognizes the control signal used (continuous / switched). It is possible to set either a linear or equipercent characteristic. The actuator automatically adjusts to the valve stroke value. A brass nut is available for mounting. Installation is possible from an upright vertical to a horizontal position.
Depending on the connection method, the drive can be used as a continuous 0 ... V, as 2P or as 3P.
Like 2P
The drive is powered by a blue (MM) and black (02) wire. After connecting the brown (01) wire, the control branch of the valve opens. If the voltage is disconnected, the actuator moves to the opposite end position and closes the valve. It is recommended to insulate unused wires (03, 05) to prevent them from coming into contact with others.
Like 3P
The drive is powered by a blue (MM) and brown (01) wire, or a blue (MM) and black (02) wire. It acts on the valve via the rod and opens the valve when the brown conductor is energized. If the circuit is closed via the black wire, the actuator closes the valve. In the event of an overload or if the drive is in the end positions, the motor is electronically switched off. It is recommended to insulate unused wires (03, 05) to prevent them from coming into contact with others.
As continuous 0 ... 10 V
The drive is controlled by an integrated positioner depending on the y signal.
Direction of action 1: voltage on the brown (01) wire - with the control signal rising, the rod extends and opens the valve.
Effect 2: voltage on the black (02) wire - with the control signal rising, the rod retracts and closes the valve.
The starting point and range of the control signal are permanently set. To set the partial ranges, it is possible to purchase accessories that allow you to set a change in the range and direction of the control signal.
After manual adjustment or in case of power failure for more than 5 minutes, the drive automatically resets (AVM105 35 s, AVM115 60 s).
When the voltage is applied, the stepper motor moves to the end position of the valve and closes it. Depending on the control voltage, any stroke between 0 and 8 mm can then be achieved.
If the control signal in direction 1 is interrupted, the valve closes completely.
