The SAX 61.03/MO electric actuator with remote Modbus communication is suitable for 2- and 3-way lift valves with a lift height of 20 mm in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. The valves can be used both as control and shut-off valves.

The actuator is very easy to install and requires no special modifications. It features LED indicators for movement and status on its body. It can optionally be expanded with additional functions, an auxiliary switch, a potentiometer, and stem heating.

The actuator is suitable for Siemens valves: V..F21.., V..F22.., V..F31.., V..F32.., V..F40.., V..F41.., V..F42.., V..F52.., and V..F53...

Functions:

  • Self-calibration - must be performed during initial commissioning. The actuator moves the valve to both end positions (upper, lower) and stores the measured values.
  • Valve seat detection - depends on the actuator's performance. After calibration, the actuator stores the exact valve stroke in memory.
  • Foreign body detection - the actuator can detect the presence of a foreign body in the valve and its blockage. If this occurs, the actuator makes three attempts to release the valve. If unsuccessful, the actuator activates the LED signal and continues in limited operation.
  • Modbus RTU - not galvanically isolated. It receives the desired valve position (0...100%) and transmits the current position (0...100%). It remotely controls the valve Open / Close / Min / Max / Stop. It monitors the desired value and backs up the settings.
  • Position feedback
  • Forced control - overrides automatic mode. The actuator receives this command from the superior control unit.
