In steam distribution systems, special steam regulator valves are often used to set and maintain the required pressure. Regulator valves designed for steam distribution can generally also be used for air distribution and heating water distribution. Refer to the individual product specifications for permissible maximum fluid pressure and shut-off and flow characteristics. The regulator valve is marked on the outside with the direction of flow, which is very important for correct installation. The steam lift valves and actuators are maintenance-free. When servicing the regulator element, the steam supply must always be shut off reliably. For proper functionality and long life, it is strongly recommended to include a suitable filter in front of the valve to trap any small mechanical impurities.
