Switching ball valves are used for switching and shutting off branches of heating circuits, i.e., for opening and closing hot and cold water systems. Ball valves are usually two-way or three-way, but some manufacturers also offer six-way valves. They are operated by a rotary actuator controlled by an open/close signal. The valve opens counterclockwise and closes clockwise.
