Download PDFThe Volatile Organic Compounds Sensor E2618-VOC is part of the PluraSens® product line, which includes multifunctional measuring devices for air quality monitoring and gas detection in technical and industrial spaces. The device is designed to monitor the presence of organic solvents (e.g., toluene, xylene, ethanol, acetone, etc.) in the air, where they may accumulate from production processes or chemical leaks. Thanks to its analogue and digital outputs, it is suitable for connection to MaR systems, BMS, or security centres.
The sensor uses a stable semiconductor (MOS) sensor with diffusion sampling, ensuring a fast response, long lifespan, and low maintenance requirements. The device's design allows for wall or duct mounting, or a version with a remote probe. The robust plastic casing with IP65 protection allows installation even in demanding operational conditions.
The E2618-VOC sensor is suitable for monitoring solvent vapours and VOCs in environments such as laboratories, paint shops, printing workshops, chemical plants, or ventilation ducts in industrial buildings. It helps ensure personnel safety and control emissions of organic substances in enclosed spaces.
Volatile organic compounds (VOC) represent a broad group of substances that easily evaporate at normal temperature. These include solvents like toluene, xylene, ethanol, acetone, or ethyl acetate. Their presence in the air can cause health issues and contribute to ozone formation in the lower atmosphere, making their monitoring essential in many industrial and technological applications.
Calibration ProtocolEach Evikon sensor package includes a manufacturing calibration protocol in the English language. The measurement of VOC concentration is influenced by ambient temperature and humidity, so factory calibration is performed with regard to safe and stable operation. The recommended recalibration interval is 12 months.
