The valve is equipped with a single-acting pneumatic actuator TORK SR, which ensures:
- Reliability with spring return in case of air failure.
- Optimised performance with low air consumption.
- Compact design for easy integration into the system.
Single-acting pneumatic actuators use compressed air to control the valve movement in only one direction (opening or closing). A spring is used to return to the initial position. When air is supplied to the actuator, the valve opens, for example, and after disconnecting the air, it automatically returns to the original (closed) position due to the spring force. This type of actuator is ideal for applications where an automatic valve response is required for safety reasons in the event of a power loss. They are widely used in various industrial sectors for their reliability and simplicity.
SIL Certification
The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has issued the IEC 61108 standard, which defines safety requirements.
To obtain SIL certification, a device must meet all defined requirement categories, with SIL 3, for example, allowing the possibility of a dangerous product failure only once every 1,140 years, reflecting a very high level of reliability.
Actuator Options
On request, valves can be supplied with pneumatic actuators:
- With ATEX certification
- With PTFE coating
- Arctic design down to -60°C
- 3-point control
