The Y87 is a series of modern digital room thermostats available in both wired and wireless versions, with the option for remote access via the Honeywell RFG100 internet gateway. The room units of all wireless models are powered by 2xAA alkaline batteries. Possible applications include direct autonomous control of the heat source or use as a sensor for measuring and setting the temperature within a multi-zone control system. In the latter case, they are designed for Evohome zone controllers and the HCE80 underfloor heating controller.

Power Supply

• Thermostat (control unit) is powered by 2 × AA alkaline batteries (1.5 V).

• Receiver / relay switching unit (BDR91) is not battery-powered - it connects directly to the 230 V mains voltage.
