The Comet ZbC2+ Zener Barrier is a certified intrinsically safe device. It is used to connect an intrinsically safe device located in an explosive environment to a non-certified device in a non-explosive environment.

The barrier limits the amount of energy transferred to the explosive environment to a level that cannot ignite the explosive atmosphere. The device contains two identical barriers with a back diode and is suitable for mounting on a DIN rail in a non-explosive environment. The price of the device automatically includes a COMET calibration sheet.
