Ex solenoid valves are designed for the safe control of media flow, such as water, steam, oils, or neutral gases, in explosive environments. These valves meet strict ATEX certifications for zones 1 and 2, making them suitable for use in the chemical, petrochemical, and other industrial sectors.
Types of seals include:
- NBR (nitrile rubber): Suitable up to 80 °C.
Liquids: hydraulic mineral oils, lubricants, motor fuels, diesel, petrol, water, beer
Gases: air, inert gases, natural gas, LPG (propane/butane), CO₂ in gaseous phase
- EPDM (ethylene-propylene): Suitable up to 130 °C.
Liquids: Water, antifreeze mixtures, detergents, syrups, juices
Gases: air, inert gases, CO₂ in gaseous phase
- FKM (Viton): Resistant to high temperatures and chemicals, ideal for aggressive liquids and vapours. Suitable up to 160 °C.
Liquids: Fuels, oils, water, glycols, antifreeze mixtures, diesel, asphalt,
Gases: Benzyl alcohol, air, hydrogen, natural gas, LPG,
- PTFE (Teflon): Extremely resistant to chemicals and temperatures, ideal for highly corrosive environments. Suitable up to 180 °C.
The correct choice of seal is crucial to ensure the long life and reliability of the valve in specific operating conditions.
