System Separators - Pipeline Separators

The task of a system separator is to prevent back-siphoning or backflow of utility or contaminated water into the public drinking water network. It is mainly used for filling heating systems without inhibitors and allows a fixed connection of the heating filling device to the drinking water distribution system. Pipeline separators are used in family homes, gardens, commercial and public buildings, and in industry.

System separators are so-called safety fittings. This means that their purpose is to ensure the integrity and safety of drinking water sources according to the currently valid hygiene standards. Pipeline separators specifically prevent the backflow of utility water into drinking water distribution systems. They are installed between the public water supply line and internal distribution systems, thus preventing contact of water in these systems and preventing contamination.

Pipeline separators are equipped with check valves at both the inlet and outlet. When the water flows in the correct direction, the valves are open. When water is not being drawn, the one-way valves at the inlet and outlet are closed. In the event of backflow, the pressure on the inlet side drops and the valves close, preventing the reverse flow of water. The discharge valve then opens when the differential pressure between the upstream and mid-pressure chamber drops to 0.14 bar.

In our offer, you will find small pipeline separators for households as well as complex devices for industrial use with a high risk of drinking water contamination due to backflow. All products in our e-shop meet the highest safety requirements according to current standards.
