The pipeline separator is suitable for use in residential, industrial, and commercial construction. It protects drinking water systems from contamination caused by back pressure, backflow, or back siphonage of utility water into the drinking water network. This is most commonly used when combining water supply from the mains and a well.

Compact design with simple servicing and easy access to all internal components. The special technical design prevents water from "standing." The separator is characterized by low pressure loss and high flow rate with low noise level (class 2). It is certified for use in drinking water systems and complies with KTW recommendations. The brass body contains no traces of lead.

Construction

  • separator body
  • integrated strainer, mesh size approx. 200μm
  • valve inserts with built-in check valve and drain valve
  • outlet check valve
  • three ball valves for connecting a differential pressure measuring device
  • connection fittings
  • outlet connection

How does the separator work?

Inside, the separator is divided into three pressure zones. In zone 1, the pressure is greater than in zone 2, which is again greater than in zone 3. If the pressure difference between zones 1 and 3 drops to 0.14 bar, the drain valve in zone 2 opens, and both check valves close. Zone 2 is thus isolated from zones 1 and 3, and the water from zone 2 is discharged into a pressureless waste.
