Pressure reducing valves reduce and stabilise pressure in water distribution systems. Regardless of fluctuations in the inlet pressure the outlet pressure remains constant, thereby protecting pipes and appliances from excessive mechanical stress. Reducing the working pressure and maintaining it at a constant level also ensures low noise levels in the plumbing system. The outlet pressure value is adjustable and the valves can be used in both domestic and industrial or commercial applications. Optimising the pressure also reduces water consumption. Water pressure reducing valves can be used for heating and cooling systems where water is used as the operating medium, and for air systems, air pressure reducing valves are manufactured.
The water pressure reducing valve is connected to the system via a thread and can be easily supplemented with a water filter, which captures mechanical impurities in the operating medium and helps protect pipes and appliances from damage and clogging due to these impurities. Pressure fluctuations in the distribution system can result in reduced system lifespan or damage (airlocks, corrosion, excessive wear, failures), therefore we recommend installing a pressure gauge in the system to detect any potential issues with the pressure reducing valve.
