Wireless thermostatic radiator head from Honeywell is designed to control a radiator communicating on the 868 MHz frequency. The head is compatible with the Evohome smart heating system. A major advantage of the head is the backlit, position-adjustable display. Selecting the position improves readability. To illuminate the display, simply press the button or turn the head slightly.

To set the temperature, you can use a paired thermostat or simply turn the head manually. This means the temperature can be changed at any time. In addition, the head is equipped with the "Window" function, so it detects when a window is opened in the room. It then closes the radiator valve and shuts off the heating water supply so that the ventilated room is not heated unnecessarily and energy costs are reduced. The "Window" function works based on a sudden temperature drop due to ventilation; after the window is closed and the temperature rises again, the head reopens the valve and heats the room to the required temperature. External window contacts HCA30 can be purchased for the head, which speeds up the head’s response to an open window. Another useful function is frost protection: when the room temperature drops to 5 °C, the head automatically switches on the heat supply and heats the room until at least 6 °C is reached.
