Honeywell F76S-LF DN15 sediment filter (F76S-1/2LFAC) is a lead-free drinking water filter with backwash function and a 50 µm filter element. The fine stainless steel mesh captures mechanical impurities (rust, sand, hemp fibres from the pipe installation), thereby protecting downstream pipework and appliances against damage and corrosion.
The filter is installed in drinking water systems in both domestic and commercial buildings, typically immediately downstream of the water meter. The DN15 (1/2") male threaded connection matches standard installations in flats and family houses. Thanks to its lead-free design, it is suitable for direct use in drinking water systems without the risk of lead contamination.
The filter must be installed exclusively in horizontal pipework with the bowl facing downwards – otherwise its effectiveness cannot be guaranteed. Shut-off valves must be fitted upstream and downstream of the filter, and the filter should be positioned as close as possible downstream of the water meter. It is recommended to connect the drain section by pipework to an unpressurised waste outlet to prevent flooding of the area in the event of a fault. The bowl and filter element are replaceable, and the supplied installation spanner is used for dismantling.

The interval depends on the level of water contamination; as a guide, the memory ring on the filter indicates when it is appropriate to open the drain ball valve and carry out a manual backwash. The filter can also be fitted with an RR11S automatic backwash unit.
The F76S-LF DN15 range is also supplied with 20 µm and 100 µm meshes. The finer mesh (20 µm) captures smaller particles, but clogs more quickly and requires more frequent backwashing. The 100 µm element is coarser and less prone to frequent clogging.
Yes. For bowls manufactured up to 5/2025, the URS-1AR retrofit kit is used; for bowls manufactured from 6/2025 onwards, the automatic backwash unit can be installed directly without an adapter.
