Sensor for monitoring the level of IFM LMT100 liquid, viscous, and bulk or powdered media in containers and pipelines. It is used for level detection and as protection against running dry. Separate setting of two switching thresholds allows detection of two different media (e.g., for phase separation or media differentiation).

The device operates on the principle of analysing the electrical behaviour of the medium that needs to be monitored, in the frequency range between 50 and 200 MHz. The probe creates an electric field, which is influenced by the level of the medium.

Not suitable for abrasive media and heavy bulk material.
