The SSA118.09HKN Electromotoric Drive with remote KNX communication is suitable for radiator valves (VEN, VDN, VUN, M30x1.5 from other manufacturers), combined PICV DN 10-32 valves (VPP46.., VPI46..), MiniCombi valves (VPD, VPE), and small ball valves (VD1..CLC).

It finds application in radiator heating systems, ceiling cooling, VAV, and fan coil applications. Thanks to remote KNX S-Mode communication, the drive receives commands from the room temperature controller. The drive can set the valve to any position between two parameterizable limit values. The drive features two potential-free inputs. It is possible to connect multiple drives in parallel.

If the valve has not been used for a long time, the servomotor activates it once every seven days to fully open and close the valve. This preventive measure prevents valve seizing. The installation of the drive is very easy. If the drive does not load any application upon startup, it automatically opens by 25% after self-calibration.

The drive body features two LED indicators, one for position and the other for KNX communication. The movement indicator lights up either green or red. A flashing green light indicates self-calibration or drive operation, constant lighting indicates that the drive has reached the end position and will turn off after a few seconds. A red light indicates an error and lights up constantly. Alternating flashing of green and red light indicates manual operation. The KNX communication indicator lights up green, yellow, or red. A constant green light indicates a successful connection test. A flashing yellow light at short intervals means factory settings are being restored, a longer interval indicates waiting time for connection. A constant red light means the device is in the process of addressing/programming, a shorter interval flashing indicates a failed drive connection, and a longer interval means an error has occurred and a power reset is necessary.
