The valve body is coated with an electrophoretic layer that protects it from corrosion, dezincification, and limescale. This valve is ideally suited for balancing hot water circulation circuits within internal plumbing systems.

Main difference between the IMI STAD-B and IMI STAD series

STAD-B is more resistant to limescale and is designed for hot water applications, while STAD is more suitable for versatile use in heating and cooling systems.

IMI STAD:

  • Usage: Standard balancing valve for hydronic systems, used in heating and cooling water distribution.
  • Material: Made from brass (AMETAL®), ensuring resistance to corrosion and dezincification.
  • Function: Flow measurement, pressure loss, and balancing of heating and cooling circuits. Equipped with measuring nipples for easy and precise balancing.
  • Temperatures: Maximum operating temperature 120 °C, minimum temperature -20 °C.

IMI STAD-B:

  • Usage: Specifically designed for hot water distribution and applications where higher resistance to corrosion, dezincification, and limescale is required (e.g., hot water circulation).
  • Material: Like STAD, it is made from AMETAL® (special brass alloy), but with an added electrophoretic layer providing additional protection against corrosion and limescale buildup.
  • Function: In addition to standard balancing and measurement, it is optimized for use in more demanding conditions, especially in hot water circuits.
  • Temperatures: Maximum operating temperature also 120 °C, minimum -20 °C.
