The Danfoss AVTB thermostatic valve is a direct-acting temperature regulator used for controlling the temperature of water in hot water tanks, heat exchangers, oil preheaters, etc. The valve is self-operating, meaning it works without the use of electricity or compressed air. The AVTB regulator closes as the temperature rises.

The regulator features a control valve, a thermostatic head, and a lever for temperature adjustment. The thermostatic actuator consists of a bellows, capillary tube, and sensor.
