Belimo EF Series Emergency Actuator for HVAC dampers or ball valves (e.g. Giacomini R250D with adapter). The actuator is designed for damper sizes up to approx. 6m2. The actuator control is open/close + 2x auxiliary contact.

Function

In the event of a power interruption, the return spring begins to rotate the actuator to the default position. For example, in the event of a power failure, it closes the damper or ball valve. The same can be achieved in reverse, depending only on the initial position of the damper.

The actuator can be operated manually using the locking button and manual crank.

Shaft Stabilizer

The actuator is factory-equipped with a shaft stabilizer for stabilizing the damper, damper shaft, and actuator assembly. It consists of two plastic support rings and, depending on the installation situation and shaft diameter, it can be left in place or removed (partially if necessary).

In the case of installing a long shaft with a diameter of 12-20mm, it is necessary to use the stabilizer. For a shaft diameter of 21-26.7mm, the stabilizer is not required.

In the case of installing a short shaft, the stabilizer can be removed.
