The Danfoss Icon Master Controller is the central control unit for underfloor heating systems in homes and elsewhere. It regulates the temperature in individual rooms and determines where heating is needed or should be turned off. The controller can connect to up to 8 external 230 V thermostats and up to 14 thermal actuators. Based on the data collected from the thermostats, the controller activates the heating boiler. It can also control room cooling.

The Danfoss Icon system knows the approximate size of the heated rooms, which allows it to heat all rooms evenly. Water in the pipes tends to flow along the path of least resistance, choosing shorter loops under smaller rooms. This creates an imbalance, where smaller rooms receive more heating water and are heated faster than larger rooms, which receive less water. Danfoss Icon solves this problem by fairly distributing heat according to room sizes.

They are designed in a modern style that easily blends with any interior. For wall-installed thermostats, the frame can be freely changed to choose one that best fits the room.

The Icon system is fully compatible with the Ally radiator system. Mixed heating is therefore not a problem at all, as the temperature in the system is controlled by either the Ally or Icon system, leaving it entirely up to the user to choose which one to prioritize. Additionally, Danfoss Ally can be connected to voice assistants Alexa, Siri, and Google Home.
