It prevents damage caused by excessive pressure stress. Despite fluctuations in the inlet pressure, the adjustability of the outlet pressure ensures its consistency. It is primarily used in households, but within the range of technical parameters, it can also be installed in commercial and industrial buildings.
Spring-loaded pressure reducing valves operate using a force balance system. The diaphragm force acts against the spring force, causing the valve to open or close. When there is a draw-off, the outlet pressure decreases, the diaphragm force drops, and the spring can open the valve. Without draw-off, the outlet pressure increases, the diaphragm force rises, and the valve closes. The inlet pressure has no effect on the opening/closing of the valve.
We recommend installing a filter before the valve.
