LOCTITE® 55 Pipe Cord™ is an inactive thread sealant designed for a wide range of industrial applications. This product comes in a convenient package that allows direct application onto pipe threads. It is ideal for sealing both metal and plastic threads up to a size of 6" NPT. LOCTITE® 55 is suitable for applications with an operating temperature of up to 149°C and allows for minor back-turning to adjust the correct thread position.

The product is certified for use in drinking water systems according to ANSI/NSF Standard 61, where the maximum water temperature does not exceed 82°C. LOCTITE® 55 also complies with EN 751-2 standards and is approved for use with drinking water according to BS 6920.
