The M400 series thermo-electric linear actuator is designed for short-stroke linear valves. The actuator has a built-in high-quality wax. When in motion, the sealed wax container heats up and the wax expands. The expanded wax moves the push rod to set the valve to a fully open or fully closed position, depending on the actuator model. When the power is disconnected, the heat source cools down, causing the wax to cool and contract, and the actuator returns to its default position.
