The NovaMix High Capacity automatic thermostatic mixing valve ensures a constant temperature of mixed water at the point of use as a central mixing device. This guarantees consistent scald protection at the point of use, even with high storage temperatures. The large cross-section of the valve in the NovaMix High Capacity reduces the valve's pressure loss (higher kV S), significantly increasing the flow capacity of the mix during peak withdrawals. A special seal on the control piston minimizes unwanted mixing of cold water (low internal leakage of cold water), resulting in maximum utilization of the storage temperature. The NovaMix High Capacity thermostatic mixing valve is primarily used in the sanitary sector as a control device to reduce the temperature of utility water from the hot water storage tank. In the event of a cold water failure, the hot water supply is automatically interrupted and tightly closed. There are many other applications for areas where a constant mix temperature is required, such as a mixing device maintaining a constant temperature for underfloor heating and when charging a storage tank with a solid fuel boiler.

The mixing valve is supplied with hot water from the storage tank and cold water from the water mains. The mix temperature is recorded using a thermostatic element and compared with the set nominal value. If the mix temperature deviates from the desired value, the thermostat acts on the control piston, which regulates the amount of hot and cold water at the inlets so that the mix temperature corresponds to the set value.
