The ESBE VTC300 series thermostatic valve is suitable for protecting solid fuel boilers with a maximum output of 30 kW, as well as against low-temperature corrosion and for filling storage tanks. Maintaining a consistently higher temperature means higher boiler efficiency, minimization of tar formation, and maximum extension of boiler lifespan. In most applications, the thermostatic valve is installed on the return line to the boiler or for filling the storage tank.

The glycol content in the medium is max. 50%. In the case of a glycol concentration of 30-50%, it is necessary to consider a reduction in the maximum output flow by 30-40%!

Valve Function

The function of the thermostatic valve is independent of its position in the application. The valve contains a thermostat that begins to open inlet A when the temperature of the mixed water at outlet AB reaches a certain °C. If the temperature at inlet A exceeds the nominal opening temperature by 10 °C, inlet B is completely closed. It is recommended to use shut-off valves in the application to facilitate any servicing.

Service and Maintenance

Spare parts are available for most major components. In most cases, it is not necessary to remove the valve from the application during servicing. The thermostatic cartridge can be easily replaced with a cartridge with a different opening temperature. Cartridges are labeled as VTC300…
