Function

The ULM-53 level meter is a compact device with an electro-acoustic transducer and electronic module. The transducer emits ultrasonic pulses that reflect off the surface and are received by the transducer and sent to the module for further processing. The level is ultimately determined based on the temperature in the tank and the time it takes for the pulses to travel to the surface. The result is transmitted via an output signal of 4...20 mA.

Main Advantages

Non-contact measurement allows for continuous or limit level measurement even in demanding industrial applications. Thanks to its measurement principle, it can be used for measuring levels of adhesives, wastewater, suspensions, resins, etc. In certain applications, the level meter can also be used for measuring the height of bulk materials, but it is advisable to discuss this method with the manufacturer beforehand.
