Ultrasonic level sensor for measuring and monitoring liquid levels. Suitable for use with liquids, slurries, and pastes. It can be used for open and closed containers, pits, channels, troughs, and other similar applications in non-explosive environments.

Function

The ULM-70 level meter is a compact device with an electroacoustic transducer and electronic module. The transducer emits ultrasonic pulses that reflect off the surface and are received by the transducer and sent to the module, where the current measured value is displayed. The level is ultimately determined based on the temperature in the tank and the time it takes for the pulses to travel to the surface. The results are also sent via a 4...20 mA signal. Intelligent pulse evaluation is capable of filtering out interference signals and false echoes. 

Main Advantages

Non-contact measurement enables continuous or limit level measurement even in demanding industrial applications. Thanks to its measurement principle, it can be used for measuring levels of adhesives, wastewater, suspensions, resins, etc. In certain applications, the level meter can also be used for measuring the height of bulk materials, but it is advisable to discuss this method with the manufacturer in advance.
