Industrial Use

Wide Industrial Use

Suitable for water treatment plants, food industry, pharmaceuticals, and more

Pneumatic shut-off valves find wide application in various industrial sectors where reliability and long service life are crucial. They are primarily used in water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring precise flow control of liquids. They also play a significant role in the food and beverage industry, where strict hygiene standards must be adhered to. In the pharmaceutical industry, they contribute to the safe handling of chemicals and sterile media, while in the chemical industry, they withstand aggressive substances. Another important area of use is the oil and gas sector, where high resistance to extreme conditions is required.

The main advantage of these valves is their corrosion resistance, provided by the 316SS stainless steel disc. The GG25 cast iron body with epoxy coating offers excellent mechanical strength and long service life. The valves are available with various types of pneumatic actuators, tailored to specific applications. Another advantage is their easy installation and maintenance, which reduces operating costs and ensures smooth system operation.

Key Features:

  • Actuator: Double-acting pneumatic actuator for precise and reliable control.
  • Disc Material: 316SS stainless steel – high chemical resistance.
  • Construction: Wafer design according to EN 558-1/20 standard.
  • Sealing: EPDM
  • Rotation Angle: 90°
  • Control: On/Off
  • Temperature Range: -10°C to +80°C

Double-Acting Pneumatic Actuator DA

The valve is equipped with a TORK DA pneumatic actuator, which ensures:

  • High reliability due to robust construction.
  • Optimized performance with low air consumption.
  • Compact design for easy integration into the system.

Double-acting pneumatic actuators use compressed air to control the valve movement in both directions – for opening and closing. They operate on the principle of alternately supplying air to two chambers, allowing precise valve position control and quick response. Unlike single-acting actuators, they do not use a spring to return to the default position, ensuring constant force and uniform performance in both directions. They are widely used in industrial automation, especially where high precision and fast valve response are needed. Due to their design, they provide long service life, low maintenance requirements, and are suitable for applications with a high number of cycles.

SIL Certification

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has issued the IEC 61108 standard, which defines safety requirements.

To obtain SIL certification, a device must meet all defined categories of requirements, with SIL 3, for example, allowing the possibility of a dangerous product failure only once every 1,140 years, reflecting a very high level of reliability.

Actuator Options

On request, valves can be supplied with pneumatic actuators:

  • With ATEX certification
  • With PTFE coating
  • Arctic design up to -60°C
  • 3-point control
